my child was referred to him by our local neurosurgeon for an op that cant be done locally, i was very skeptical to say the least as i dont trust medics (i trust our local one but that took some time owing to bad experiance with a previous one) but my reservations were melted in seconds of meeting this man he LISTENED to my views as a parent and though he is against doing the operation for now he explained fully and as simply as one can why he wanted to wait showing me scans drawing diagrams , , rephrasing his explanations when i just wasnt getting it coz panic had set in , he made sure before we left i fully understood what he was telling me and didnt care how long that took , even though as a mum i dont want to wait and continue to see my child unwell at times i had it explained to me in such a way that i can see the reasoning why he does not think not in my childs interest to rush into it and am in agrement (well as much as one can be when ur child is in a no win situation) our local man said we be in safe hands and i feel he is right

We were looking for a trustworthy doctor to see for a troubling severe back problem and were suggested we see Mr Solanki. He listened patiently and after examining me thought that I had prolapsed a disc.He personally arranged for an emergency MRI the same weekend and then showed us the problem on the scans. He explained the operation and reassured us that there was a very good chance of completely getting rid of the leg pain. The operation went well and I was up and about the same day. His after care was outstanding and I haven't looked back. Highly recommend this superb surgeon!

Guirish is very good at listening to both us as worried parents and also to our poorly child. He is always very calm and clear in his explanations and doesn't rush us out the door as some doctors do! He relates to our son magnificently and is always interested in him as a person at follow up appointments. His skills as a neurosurgeon are first class and we have no hesitation is recommending him as a superb doctor. Oh yes - he is always smiling too! Actually we would sum him up in 3 words - fantastic fantastic fantastic!

In a word, truly brilliant. My partner had a prolapsed disc and due to the time taken by Guirish to put him at ease and explain what was going on and all the options available to him he agreed to have the surgery done. We both just felt that this guy knew what he was doing and was very experienced and confident in his abilities and that filled us with confidence. The post-operation care was also fantastic and I would strongly recommend anyone to see him if they are suffering with this condition.
